By pure chance, I came across this tribute. I was so very sad to hear of Richard's death. I knew him briefly in the late sixties when he was still at Alleyn's School and then at pilot training. I am so glad he had such a happy marriage with Ingrid and was a great father and grandad; judging by the photos What a gallery of happy times. A very handsome man with a kind nature and attractive personality. The children must have been devastated to lose him. Prostate cancer is an evil disease that often takes the most healthy of men.
