Dear Ingrid, Andrew, Verity and Robert, I hope last Thursday went as well as these things ever can and you all raised a glass to Richard and your special Dad. Richard, a loving husband and devoted Dad was a lovely man and a great friend to Elizabeth and me. Clever, great fun, generous spirited (don’t think I ever heard him talk badly of anyone) and loyal. A very special man in so many ways. You will all have so many special memories of him that I am sure will give you comfort and keep you strong in these difficult months ahead. His time has come far too early when he had so much to live for and sometimes this never makes sense. I send my deep condolences and love to you all and you are in my thoughts. I hope to see you all again soon as it has been far too long. Alister
